Gabrielito’s Preschoolers Program (4Years-5Years)

  • Welcome

At Gabrielito’s Daycare, our preschool program is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning in children aged 4 to 5 years. This is a time of tremendous growth as children become more independent, develop stronger social-emotional skills, and begin exploring academic concepts in a playful and engaging way. Our program combines hands-on learning with a nurturing environment to help each child thrive as they prepare for kindergarten and beyond.

Our holistic curriculum, rooted in the themes of mind, body, and soul, provides opportunities for children to explore foundational skills in literacy, math, and science while fostering their emotional resilience and social connections. Through structured activities, free play, and mindfulness practices, we support each child’s unique developmental needs. With the guidance of our caring and certified teachers, your little one will grow, learn, and shine every day.

  • Our Philosophy

At Gabrielito’s Daycare, we believe that children learn best through play and exploration. For preschoolers, this means a balance of structured learning and child-led discovery. Our curriculum encourages independence, critical thinking, and collaboration, laying the groundwork for academic and personal success. We emphasize emotional intelligence, communication, and creativity, helping your child build the confidence to express themselves and connect with their peers.

Our learning centers—focused on literacy, math, creativity, and social-emotional development—allow children to engage in age-appropriate, hands-on activities. Monthly themes, such as “Exploring My World” or “Love and Kindness,” provide a cohesive framework for exploring concepts that are relevant and meaningful to this age group. With opportunities to practice mindfulness, engage in outdoor play, and participate in group activities, our preschool program is designed to develop the whole child—mind, body, and soul.

  • How Our Curriculum Engages Your Preschooler

Our curriculum is carefully crafted to meet the developmental milestones of 4- to 5-year-olds while nurturing their individuality. Activities such as pre-writing exercises, story sequencing, and rhyming games lay the foundation for literacy, while counting, sorting, and pattern recognition build math skills. Social-emotional development is supported through role-playing, collaborative games, and conflict resolution strategies. Creativity is encouraged through art projects, music, and imaginative play.

Preschoolers are also introduced to mindfulness practices, helping them develop focus, self-regulation, and a sense of calm. Guided lessons and interactive discussions foster curiosity and critical thinking. By integrating all aspects of learning, we create an environment where children feel confident to explore, ask questions, and express themselves.

Example Daily Schedule for 4-5 Year-Olds

Our preschoolers schedule is flexible and adaptable to meet the individual needs of each child:

  • To ensure your preschooler has everything they need for a fun and comfortable day, we kindly ask parents to provide the following items:

    • Sippy cups.

    • Pull Ups, wipes, and diaper creams.

    • Weather-appropriate clothing and multiple changes of clothes.

    • Shoes suitable for indoor and outdoor play.

    • A blanket and pillow or sleep sack for nap time.

    • Any additional comfort items your child may need.

All items will be labeled and stored individually for your child’s use.

  • Yes, we support potty training for children in this age group if needed. Our approach is patient, positive, and tailored to each child’s readiness level. We work closely with parents to create a consistent routine between home and daycare, using praise and encouragement to make potty training a stress-free experience. For children who are not yet ready, we continue with regular diaper/pull up changes and provide gentle introduction activities, such as sitting on a potty chair during transitions.

  • Our approach to discipline is rooted in positive reinforcement and redirection. When behavioral challenges arise, we work with the child to understand their emotions and guide them toward appropriate actions. Our goal is to help children develop self-regulation and problem-solving skills in a supportive environment.
